Tony Correa: from FC Santos to a children’s coach in Russia

Tony Correa — head coach and founder of the Brazilian Football Academy

Playing career: Brazil’s Série A

Tony Correa played in Brazil’s top flight — Série A — for the legendary clubs Santos, Portuguesa, and Bragantino. Santos is the club of Pelé and Neymar, one of the most famous football schools in the world. Tony was at the same clubs as Neymar, Zé Roberto, and Kaká — players known to every football fan.

Turning to coaching

A serious injury ended Tony’s playing career but opened the door to coaching. Today he holds coaching licences from Brazil, Russia, and the USA, plus certifications from Australia, England, and Portugal.

Tony has coaching experience on five continents: Brazil, the USA, the UAE, Russia, Hong Kong, Hungary, Slovenia, Australia, China, Singapore, and Thailand. Thanks to this experience, the academy maintains ties with professional clubs abroad.

Mission in Russia

Having founded the Brazilian Football Academy in Russia, Tony Correa set himself the goal of developing youth sport and opening a path into professional football for talented players. Together with academy director Yulia Skvortsova, they built a school where football isn’t just a sport but a vibrant way of life: training, tournaments, international camps and celebrations.
