Goalkeeper sessions for kids

A goalkeeper is a special role: reactions, courage and a cool head. We develop goalkeeping skills within training, and for in-depth work on the keeper's technique there are one-on-one sessions with Tony Correa. Honestly: we don't have a separate 'goalkeeper school' with a narrow specialist — and that's a plus, because a modern keeper must be able to play outfield.

What we train in a young goalkeeper

Reactions & coordination

Quick-response drills, hands and feet, orientation in the goal — the foundation of goalkeeping.

🧤

Catching & parrying

Correct grip, technique for high and low balls, parrying into a safe area.

🤸

Injury-free falls

Stance, movement and falls so the child isn't afraid of the ball and stays safe.

👟

Playing with the feet

A modern keeper starts the attack. In the GINGA method we work on outfield technique too.

Honestly about a "goalkeeper school"

Many advertise a "goalkeeper school" — it sounds good, but there isn't always a dedicated goalkeeper coach behind it. We say it plainly: goalkeeper training is built into the process and strengthened by one-on-one sessions. For children this is better than early narrow specialisation: first a love of football and general technique, then goalkeeping. Come to a free session and the coach will assess the child and say honestly whether the role suits them. Basic goalkeeping is picked up in group sessions, and technique is set one-on-one with Tony Correa.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a separate goalkeeper school?

We don't split goalkeepers into a separate school — goalkeeper training is built into normal sessions, and for in-depth work on technique there are one-on-one lessons. This is more honest for the child: a goalkeeper must be able to play outfield too, so we develop both goalkeeping and general technique.

From what age can a child train as a goalkeeper?

Conscious goalkeeper specialisation usually starts at 8–10, when a child has enough coordination and reactions. Before that, children try the role in a playful way — it helps them see whether they enjoy it, without early narrow specialisation.

What do young goalkeepers train?

Reactions and coordination, a correct stance and injury-free falls, catching and parrying, playing with the feet and off the line, choosing position. Much of this is set one-on-one and reinforced in games and tournaments.

Where do goalkeeper sessions take place?

In Khimki at Kudryavtseva St., 10B and in Moscow at Capitol Mall on Pravoberezhnaya St., 1B — the same venues as normal sessions. One-on-one goalkeeper lessons can be arranged. Book a free session on +7 925 337-55-05.
